Department of World Languages, Broadway High School
- To receive an advanced diploma, the state of VIRGINIA requires that students take a minimum of three years of one language, OR two years each of two different languages.
- Students who speak French or Spanish at home (native or heritage speakers) have the opportunity to provide a written and spoken sample for more advanced placement in that language, if it is their chosen language of study.
- Please see the Virginia Department of Education Foreign Language Website.
- There is now a seal of biliteracy available for high school students graduating in Virginia.
- You are on the website for the WORLD LANGUAGES HONOR SOCIETY AT BHS. Take a look at our other pages on the site: blog (pics and events), careers, and scholarship pages.
